Monthly Event - 27 February 2026

MATCH REPORT

Rain threatened right up to tee off but, fortunately, abated. Golf was played in overcast but reasonably conditions for the second last day of summer. 

A field of 13 played but unlike last month no ladies! Where are you?

We welcomed back Chris Holmes from Brisbane Golf Club. 

Doug Morel won the day with 16 points.  In second and third places were Rob King-Scott and Denis Brosnan with 16 points.  An adjustment to the handicapping methodology produced more realistic results. Again, No 4 pointers were recorded. Apologies to Chris Holmes who does not appear in the results with 10 points.  Which will be rectified by next month.

Our next monthly event is scheduled for 27 March at Royal Queensland.  Registration open for this event and invitations will be sent out soon.

Don't forget the Australian & Asia Pacific Hickory Golf Championship to be held on 5,6 & 7 July to be followed by the Queensland Championship on 9 July 2026 at Indooroopilly Golf Club. Invitations will be sent soon.
