Match Report - Royal Queensland Golf Club
The day started with storms looming. This reduced the field from 17 to 12. Those that ventured out under threatening weather were rewarded with a fairly cool dry day with minimal wind. Good golfing weather. We welcomed some new players, Jenna Lyons and Iain Ward. John Greenhalgh made a welcome return after many years absence.
Ross Bishop maintained his good form having won last month's event at Indooroopilly, the Australian Hickory Shaft net Championship and the South Australian Hickory Shaft net Championship.. Ross won with 21 points , second was John Greenhalgh with 20 points. In third place was Rob King-Scott with 18 points.

Grantland Rice and Bobby Jones were close friends who shared a deep admiration for each other.
