The annual Royal Queensland Hickory Shaft Championships are organized and hosted by Royal Queensland Golf Club — the club championship for members of RQGC. Visitors who are invited are welcomed, but cannot be eligible to win. This is a one-day 18 hole stableford event in which RQGC members will compete for:
Carnegie Clark Driver (gentlemen)
Carnegie Clark Putter (ladies)
The trophies are the namesake of Carnegie Clark who was an illustrious Carnoustie-born golfer, club-maker and golf course architect. It was he who who designed Royal Queensland Golf Club's original 1920 layout.
